5. Non-Fiction
The non-fiction section is organized numerically by a system known as the Dewey Decimal System. Numbers in this system range from 000-999. Numbers can also be assigned information about the author or content. For example, the biographies are in the 920 or B (for biography) section. A book about George Washington might say 920 WASH or B WASH. In the end, knowing Dewey won't be make or break during research. To help us find things in the library we use an online system known as a catalog. Just know that the non-fiction section might not make a ton of sense to you, and that you can ask Miss Kelly or one her TA's for help.
